Everything is going well in 2nd grade! We are settled into a good routine and are kicking things into high gear! Please be sure your child brings a morning snack---many of the kiddos complain of being hungry but have not brought a snack to eat. We have snack each morning at 9:45.

1st day update

Today was a great day! We established class expectations (the students came up with a great list!), we completed a number activity (were you able to guess the significance of your child's 4 numbers?), learned how to monitor our reading comprehension by checking for understanding and took a tour of the school. Our goals tomorrow are to continue refining listening skills, celebrate our 2nd day of 2nd grade and continue establishing our class routines and procedures. Thanks for a great day!

Check out the 'Newsletters' section of the webpage to see my supply list as well as the BOBCATS Binder letter. The 2nd grade team of teachers will be requiring each student to have a BOBCATS Binder. BOBCATS stand for Better Organization, Better Communication, Adds up to Terrific Students. This binder will be taken to and from school each day for homework, notes home, school calendar, etc.

Welcome to 2nd Grade! I hope you all enjoyed your summer. I am looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing old ones. Meet the Teacher night is scheduled for Thursday, August 4 from 5-7pm. I hope to see you all there!
